Emma Browning
Emma Browning, News Director
Emma Browning is a Senior in the School of Journalism and Media and has a background in News Producing and Studio Directing. Browning joined TVC in 2024 as a general producer and was promoted to executive producer for TVC News in the summer of 2025. During her semester as EP, she led a team of national-award winning reporters to create weekly newscasts, as well as lead the control room as director. Browning also produced TVC’s first newscast broadcasted on cable TV through TVC’s partnership with WVLT-TV. Browning was appointed to News Director in January 2026, and her days turned from producing to leading an entire award-winning TV station across two shows, four social media sites, and two internet shows. Her favorite part of her job as News Director was mentoring and empowering young reporters to learn more about journalism. A 2026 graduate of TVC News, Browning now works as a morning producer at WVLT-TV in Knoxville, Tenn.
