Toby Fagan is an alum of UT Knoxville’s School of Journalism and Media and has a background in News Producing and Studio Directing. Fagan joined TVC in the Fall semester of 2024 as a general producer and was promoted to Senior Sports Producer in the Fall of 2025 and then promoted to Executive Producer in the Spring of 2026. During his time as Senior Sports Producer, Fagan helped join together the TVC’s news and sports divisions with cross pollination of sports content and an increase in high quality sports reporting. As Executive Producer, Fagan has helped lead a national award-winning newsroom and broadcast to create weekly newscasts that are aired on local cable in partnership with WVLT-TV and lead the control room of the broadcast as director. A 2026 graduate of TVC News, Fagan now works as a producer at WIS-TV in Columbia, S.C.
