Aubree Curran is a Senior at the University of Tennessee studying broadcast journalism, and originally comes from a print background. She joined TVC in 2024 as a general reporter and was promoted to Assistant Managing Editor Spring of 2026. She turns at least one story weekly for the student newscast. Curran is most known for her feature stories and is most inspired by the people she gets to meet with each and every story. Over the past year, Curran’s favorite tasks have been participating in the TVC Voices of Valor special for Veterans Day, as well as helping junior reporters develop and produce their own stories. Her favorite part of her job is that every day looks different. In this world there’s a lot of bad but there’s also a lot of good, and it’s a journalists responsibility to report on both. It’s a responsibility Curran certainly doesn’t take lightly. When she graduates December of 2026, she hopes to continues her career in broadcast journalism as a multimedia journalist.
